Who can be a guest on The Writing Biz Podcast?

Authors, publishing professionals, marketers, editors, coaches, designers, copywriters, and platform builders are all a good fit. What matters most is practical advice. If you can speak to publishing, author marketing, email lists, monetization, websites, book launches, or productivity with real examples, we'd love to hear from you.

What is recording an episode like?

It's a friendly, conversational interview recorded remotely, audio only, and usually 30 to 60 minutes long. You'll get prep materials ahead of time, and scheduling works around you. Just find a quiet room, make sure your audio is clear, and wear headphones if you can.

How do I apply to be a guest?

In the upper left is the vibrant yellow cover of 8-Second PR: New Public Relations Crash Course (2nd Edition) by Liz H. In the upper right, Wrangling the Doubt Monster by Bernstein displays clean white and teal blocks with red and blue lettering under a stylized sun illustration. In the lower left, Me, Myself & Multiple Myeloma by Ray Hartjen shows a man walking forward outdoors with ghosted duplicate figures behind him, subtitled "A Behind-the-Scenes Look for Patients, Caregivers & Allies." In the lower right, Sinner's Secret: Sinners Never Die by Julie Rowe depicts a dark, brooding portrait of a dark-haired man against neon city lights. Overlapping the center of the four corners is Peg, Unhinged: A Novel by Teri M. Brown, rendered with soft teal skies, coastal beach houses, and an illustrated blonde woman in a white cover-up reaching out toward her straw sun hat blowing away in the wind.

A promotional grid collage set against a solid black background features five published book covers arranged symmetrically around a central cover. In the upper left is the dark sci-fi cover of Dissonance Volume 1: Reality by Aaron Ryan, showing an eerie, shadowy alien figure submerged in misty turquoise light above the tagline "We thought they were angelic messengers. We were wrong." In the upper right, To Conquer Death by Harold Moon features a papyrus scroll background filled with ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics behind a dark, fractured metal ankh. In the lower left, The Darker the Skies by Bryan Prosek displays a swirling celestial vortex of blue cosmic lightning and deep space clouds. In the lower right, How to Avoid Book Publishing Blunders by Dr. Judith Briles, "The Book Shepherd," features clean green and purple color blocks with white serif text beneath a round gold Amazon bestseller seal. Overlapping the center of the four corners is the thriller Rhino Horn Underground by Deven Greene, split between a rugged African savanna scene with a white rhinoceros on top and a dark indoor vault below, featuring a severed rhino horn on a pedestal and a blonde woman in a blazer standing nearby.
